Research Collaborations
The Department of Agriculture Production and Rural Environment develops collaborations with universities and research institutes both in our country and abroad, as well as with organizations active in the field of Plant Production. In specific, the faculty members of the Department have established research partnerships with several international universities and research institutes, including the following: the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA; the United States Department of Agriculture, Center for Grain and Animal Health Research, Manhattan, Kansas, USA; the University of Molise, Campobasso, Italy; the University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy; the University of Torino, Torino, Italy; the Department of Enterprise Engineering, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy; the University of Camerino, Camerino, Italy; CIRAD, France; the University of Giessen, Giessen, Germany; the Agricultural Research Organization, Israel; Henan University of Technology, Zhengzhou, China; the University of Ljubljana, Ljubljana, Slovenia; the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, Slovakia; Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland; Centro de Edafología y Biología Aplicada del Segura, CEBAS-CSIC, Spain; Harper Adams University, Department of Engineering, United Kingdom; the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ) e.V., Germany; and the Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience (CAWR), Coventry University, Coventry, United Kingdom.
Moreover, the faculty members of the Department collaborate in various ways with a significant number of universities and research institutes within the country, which are active in fields related to the subjects addressed by the Department. In specific, the faculty members collaborate with other departments of the University of Thessaly, the Departments of the Agricultural University of Athens, the School of Agriculture of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University of Macedonia, the University of Ioannina, the Democritus University of Thrace, the CERTH Institutes, the ELGO-DIMITRA Institutes, and the Benaki Phytopathological Institute, among others.
