Laboratory Mission

The Laboratory of Mineralogy-Petrology addresses the teaching and research needs in the fields of mineralogy and petrology, including geometric crystallography, the structure of crystalline matter, crystallography, the amorphous state of matter, mineral identification methods, systematic mineralogy, and the classification of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks.

Currently, there is no faculty member serving in the Laboratory of Mineralogy-Petrology.
