The Department of Agriculture Crop Production and Rural Environment curriculum and research activities focus on

So the Departmental graduates are capable to handle the classical and innovative methodology for the development and production of improved propagation material (genetic improvement, biotechnology – molecular genetics), the state-of-the-art environmentally-friendly cultural practices (physiology, nutrition, irrigation, plant protection, etc.), the development and application of currently available agricultural technology, the sustainable management of natural resources and the rural environment, and the production of safe high-quality plant products and food.
